Meet Our Medical Director
Chelsea Young, MD
Medical Director & Collaborating Physician
I am a board-certified psychiatrist with specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry and a deep commitment to advancing maternal mental health. I completed my psychiatry residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where I also served as Chief Resident for Research and conducted studies on integrative maternal mental health care into pediatric primary care setting. My academic background includes earning my medical degree with distinction from UCSF and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stanford University.

In addition to my formal training, I completed a year-long Functional Psychiatry fellowship through Psychiatry Redefined, which equipped me with an integrative, whole-person approach to mental health care.

As Medical Director of Elle Maternal Wellness, Nursing PC, I draw on my extensive experience supporting women through the perinatal period and beyond. I am passionate about blending evidence-based psychiatry with functional and lifestyle-based strategies to promote long-term wellness for mothers and their families.

As a mother of three sons, I understand the complexities and joys of parenting and bring both empathy and lived experiences to my work. Outside of my clinical practice, I enjoy hiking in nature and advocating for public health through my involvement in environmental health initiatives.
