Meet Our Nutritionist

Francesca Orlando, MS

Integrative Nutritionist & Health Coach

I’m a mom of two boys, a science-based functional nutritionist, and a lifelong student of how food shapes our health across generations. I was born and raised in Italy, where I first fell in love with the connection between food, culture, and well-being. That early foundation now informs the way I blend nutritional science with a real-world, human-centered approach.

I hold a Master of Science in Integrative Nutrition, which I completed with a 4.0 GPA. During my graduate training, I explored the deep interplay between diet, health, and long-term wellness. For my thesis, I conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis examining how maternal diet affects gene expression and offspring health outcomes — research that highlighted the developmental roots of chronic disease and the powerful role of nutrition in shaping future generations. This remains one of my proudest academic accomplishments.

Today, I continue to expand my knowledge through a Doctorate of Science in Integrative Health and through my role as a board member for the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board (HNCB), a division of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. I’m committed to advancing the standards of evidence-based, holistic care across the profession.

My clinical work is grounded in research and rooted in functional, integrative frameworks. I support clients by identifying the underlying causes of imbalance, and by designing nutrition and lifestyle strategies that are tailored, transparent, and sustainable. I critically evaluate emerging studies to separate trends from truth, ensuring that every recommendation I make is both science-backed and client-centered.

Outside of practice, I spend my time immersed in joy: hiking, paddle boarding with my Newfoundland, reading widely, and soaking up the playful energy of life with my two boys. I also find strength and focus through powerlifting, where I’m reminded that transformation comes from consistent, grounded effort, just like healing.
